Gardening...

The best place to seek God is in a garden.  You can dig for him there.  ~George Bernard Shaw

The greatest gift of the garden is the restoration of the five senses.  ~Hanna Rion

Gardening is about enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity.  ~Lindley Karstens

You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt.  ~Author Unknown

Many things grow in the garden that were never sown there.  ~Thomas Fuller

In the garden I tend to drop my thoughts here and there.  To the flowers I whisper the secrets I keep and the hopes I breathe.  I know they are there to eavesdrop for the angels.  ~Dodinsky

I never had any other desire so strong, and so like to covetousness, as that one which I have had always, that I might be master at last of a small house and a large Garden.  ~Abraham Cowle

I sit in my garden, gazing upon a beauty that cannot gaze upon itself.  And I find sufficient purpose for my day.  ~Robert Brault

Pictures...

To catch up on my slacking here is the past month through photos!

My husband made this for me in the workshop as a little surprise! It's just the little things like this that happen on a weekly basis that remind me of how lucky I am to have such an incredible husband!
We don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day but this year we decided to take the parents out to dinner to pay our rent! It was such a wonderful evening with great italian food!

Scott and Kellie! So grateful for what they have given us!

Jord and his mamma! We decided that dinner ended too fast so we went to a little pub for a couple drinks and conversation!

We watched Ally for a few days while the parents went to Chicago for a business trip. Things tend to get a little weird!

One of our first BBQ's of the year. Salmon and bell peppers! It was amazing!

We celebrated our good friend Justin's birthday at a little local karaoke bar. Not a place we usually go, but it ended up being a great night. We are so blessed to have this man in our life! Love you Justin!

and...... of course, boys will be boys! After they finished singing they decided to walk over to our buddy's  studio to spar. Brother vs. Brother! Did I mention it was one in the morning?! What can I really do though, when Jordan and Ian are together there is no stopping them!

They sparred for 10 minutes!

My precious nephew Logan! Josh and Cilla drove down here for a late bday celebration for Josh and mostly just to hang out! I am so happy for them and cannot describe how incredible their little man cub is!

He loves to snuggle with his Auntie JuJu! You could say we're best friends!

He is a crazy jumper!

And of course the boys find something to do.... They set up a target in the midst of our little orchard behind the motor home. They used the fallen fruits as parts of their target. It was pretty entertaining!

We like to smile....

And make silly faces!

I wish this picture was not so blurry but all I had was my iphone with no flash. Jordan and I played with Ambs, Mars, and Ellie (their dog) while Bryan was at work one night. We were all pretty tired after running around, dancing crazy in the living room, riding Jordan around like an elephant, playing steam roller, and baseball.... so we curled up on the couch to watch discovery channel. Marley crawled up on Jordan's lap and asked for "tickles" It was the most priceless moment. She is a busy busy girl, so these rare moments of cuddles are priceless. I love the way my husband loves on this little girl. They have the best relationship and it melts my heart in every way possible.

Jordan wanted to get Marley her first baseball glove. We played catch for a few minutes then she deicided that putting the glove on her face and running around making loud noises was way more fun!!! Haha soon! It was the cutest thing though when he gave it to her.... she said.... "Juurrdan.... play baseball. Jurdan baseball....pllllllleeeaaassee!!"
The way she says his name is the cutest ever!
We are little cuddle bugs....

Sometimes we have intruders...

Nothing wrong with a little family cuddle sesh right?

Hahaha... guess Jordan wasn't so stoked on the idea!

March Madness

There is always a buzz in the air come March. It's like the world is waking up from the cold winter. Spring is in the air. The nights are still crisp but the earth is bursting with life. It fills my heart and soul with joy. There is so much peace in knowing that no matter how rough the winter was new life will begin again. I have never been a huge fan of spring until I realized its correlation to our own lives. It is God's yearly reminder that he will once again rejuvenate our souls after hard, cold and dark seasons. It's a beautiful thing.
Jordan and I sit patiently (and some times not so patiently) waiting for our next calling. It feels as though the world is buzzing on and we sit and only wait. The only thing we can do right now is trust that the right door will open at the right time. We dream and daydream too, of our motor home hoping that one day we can embark on that journey, There is so much to see and time seems to be moving way too fast. We are anxious and excited as we finally have the money saved up to make our purchase. Hopefully we can find just the right one. A home on wheels. But as I said we only wait. It's been a good, weird, easy and hard transition back home. We definitely have our ups and downs but overall cannot be more grateful. the time that we have spent with our parents, siblings, niece, and nephews has been incredible. We are the only ones without kids so it's kind of fun to watch from an outside perspective. So rad to see each of our siblings raise their kids with so much love and patience. I am so happy that we get to be in their lives.
I still work at Starbucks. Although the hours and the pay are a little rough I feel overwhelmingly grateful for the opportunity to work and to provide health insurance. Jordan hasn't had any luck finding a serving job yet but honestly he still finds a way to bring home the bread. I am so appreciative of his hard work and diligence in that. Even if his hours are fewer he has managed to pull in enough money to not only pay bills but save money too. I am so grateful for this man and his desire to provide for his little family- even when the job isn't ideal. Most days I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Ya some could say, "You're 24, you live with your in-laws, your house is a parked motor home, you have no career, and no future plans for your life, no retirement plan.." But I say, "I'm 24, I am married to my best friend, the man of my dreams since I was 13 years old, we live in a luxury condo, dwell in a family commune where many hands make light work, I work a steady job that provides insurance and that also allows me enough spare time to hang out with family and friends and be a good wife.." If that is not an amazing life than I'm not really sure what is!
Jordan crawling under a house doing pre-wire with dead rats, poop, spiders and such. He is a good man!

Happy Spring everyone! May the sun shine down upon you and fill your souls with joy and peace!
