Summer Lovin'

One thing we love about living here is the constant reminder of this beautiful world we live in! It inspires us to see the whole world and all the amazing things in it!
beautiful clouds make beautiful sunsets!
check out the whispy clouds in this one... we cannot tell you how incredible they were in person.
kiss me like this forever!
how could you not love your life?!
Sunset on the south side! It's been another amazing week here on the island! Hope you are all well! We love and miss you all! -Jord and Jules

Mikey's Last Days!

Like I said we feel tremendously blessed to inherit a new brother and friend! We had so much fun just relaxing and hanging out island style! Thank you Mike for skipping your cali trip to come visit us!

He looked so vicious when we took him to Jordan's work right before the airport!
And of course you have to get an Ice Cold Coconut from the Farmer's Market before you leave!!

Monday-Funday!

Day Three: Who said Mondays are not fun! We jammed so many things into one day! While I was at work in the morning the boys went to Hopi Falls. It was the first hike Jordan and I did when we moved here last time. It is a short hike and there are two waterfalls. The second one has a huge pool at the bottom of it where you can just relax on the rocks and soak up the beauty. The first one has a small pool and you can jump off of it!
Tim and Mikey
This is the second fall.. the boys actually met a couple of girls from Denmark there and then they came on the rest of the adventures of the day!
Enjoying the waterfall! He jumped off that and the rope swing!
woooo.... slippery rocks!
Crusin the south side with the girls from Denmark. After the sunset we went to Pierre and Cheri's house for some backyard BBQ'in!!! It is a very full day but so fun to show Mikey our home.

Hanalei Bay...

Day Two of Mikey's Visit: Of course we had to take him to Hanalei! It is one of our favorite spots on the island. The North Shore is just beautiful here!
Showing Mikey the Taro fields...
Jordan did not want to be a tourist here! haha..... SO OVER IT!
Boys blowing up the relaxation station! They floated all day in it while I took a nap on the beach! It was absolutely an amazing and gorgeous day!
The Tri-Pod! They named themselves that back in Tucson and it just kind of stuck. Friends for life!
Sometimes we still sneak a kiss in, even if the boys are there!

Aloha!!

Eric in all his style of course had to throw Mikey a luau for his first night here. He roasted this pork all day, made some traditional Hawaiian salmon dish, green beans, rice.... I am pretty upset because I accidentally erased every picture I took that night. Here are just a few to give you an idea! Jordan decorated the table with all the local flowers and leaves! It was pretty amazing! The yard had tiki torches and chairs set up everywhere!
The feast!
Isn't he so adorable!?!
Shocka Bradda..... he thought it was funny and did it THE ENTIRE TRIP!

The Tri-Pod (quad-pod) Reunited!

On Saturday the 20th we had the amazing gift of our friend Mikey from Tucson coming to visit us! To take you back a bit, Jordan and I moved to Tucson at the end of May in 2010. Jordan got a job at The Overlook. We didn't know anybody. I was having a private party for the In N Out opening and Jordan told me he was bringing this guy he met at work, the maintenance supervisor. Quite honestly I was expecting some hairy old man... hahaha turns out he was our age and one of the greatest guys we have met! Jordan's first friend Mike Ruske! He is actually the one that introduced Jordan to Tim (our room mate here in Kauai. we convinced him to move out here for a bit!). So anyhow Mike came to visit! Jord and I have been blown away that these guys we have only known for one year and two months have become our family! They have added so much to our lives and shared so much of themselves with us. It's pretty incredible what one year can do. We are so blessed by them! CHEERS to you Mikey!!!!
This is our airport snapshot! Everyone was pretty stoked to see each other! Eric met Mikey and Tim when he came and stayed with us for six weeks in Feb '10. They went snowboarding and skating together! Now we are just one big happy family!
Eric wanted to do a high five on our way to the airport. We were going 40 MPH... very scary. I don't reccommend you try this at home.
First things first..... Kealia. This is a beach just 5 minutes from the house. It's a nice go-to spot when we don't have a lot of time. THE QUAD-POD reunited again!
Jord took Mikey down to the Bike path on the beach for a little cruise... they got lucky with the rainbow!
There he is! The man of the hour!

My husband....

MY Amazing wonderful man! My husband is a man of many talents and dreams... he is completely capable to....
- take care of himself (he did survive as a single man and in third world countries on his own)
-make himself food at any time of the day (he was a chef)
-make his own coffee (he has been a barista for many years)
-pick up after himself (he WAS a bachelor once!)
-plan his schedule
-take care of daily errands
-work enough to provide for us both (he has ALWAYS had a job, even if it was something to just scrape by)
-make his dreams come true (he did just fine without me...)

But what an honor it is to be his wife and to relieve some of these things from him. I love this quote from Luther "Let the wife make the husband glad to come home, and let him make her sorry to see him leave." I have been overwhelmed in the past few weeks at how blessed I really am to be called his wife. He loves me diligently and passionately. He appreciates all the small things and the big things too. And he makes me laugh on a daily basis. I take it as a complete honor to love, serve and respect him in anyway possible. Do I really have to get up with him and make coffee and breakfast everyday? No... he is completely capable, but I do it with a joyful heart. Having the kind of relationship we do is not something to take for granted. And if I can do the small things on a daily basis I will count it all as gain! I am so blessed and am so thankful for this man! Thank you God for creating Jordan Patrick Cote!

Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character- I have read this a lot of times in my life, but it is such an inspiration to me!
10 [b]A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still night;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Donkey's Beach

Tonight Ian and Richelle headed back to San Diego. We were really bummed to see them go, it had been such a good week. It was the first time that the four of us had hung out just the four of us. There was a lot of laughing and relaxing! Can't wait to meet baby Zoe in December.
The second we got there we found a bunch of trash that had washed up from fisherman's boats. There was even stuff from Japan. The boys got the instinct to build shelter with all the scraps and pieces.
haha I love this picture! He looks like he's flying with the airplane.
beautiful!
here is the frame of the shelter with my finger in the corner.. whoops!
finished shelter
handsome boy!
Jord and Shell!
Such a great week!

Hopi Falls

Jord had a couple of hours before his shift started at work so he showed Ian our house and then a waterfall right up the road! They hiked down the path to the second waterfall on the trail then walked back and jumped off the first fall. It's about 20ft..
the path there is beautiful...
The second fall
there are a ton of little frogs! They lay their eggs in the little pools!

North Shore

Hanalei Bay is one of our favorite spots on the island. It's up on the North Shore. At times it can be filled with tourists, other times locals, and sometimes its completely empty. The water is calm, the mountain range is amazing, and the sunsets are killer! We had a great time taking Ian and Shell up there for a day!
Model Couple
Maybe their brothers??
they make us so proud. . . ?!
Cruisin'
The sunset changed about every 30 seconds to different colors; orange, purple, pink, red.....
haha I love this one!
