Goodbye and Hello!!!

It's funny I have been trying to write this transition blog from California to Hawaii and just can never find the words to do it.... So I will just make it quick.

June thru July was a whirlwind and half! We had so many family events and get togethers, parties, 4th of July, building the shed, and friends to see. It was almost as tiring as working full time in Tucson! Although we were mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted by the end it was THE BEST trip home anyone could have asked for! Not only did we accomplish what we wanted to (the Shed) but we got to see and spend time with so many of our loved ones.. even friends who live out of state! For some reason everyone ended up being in town or close to it when we were home! We had such a blast catching up, but the time slipped away from us. Before we knew it we were loading up the shed on the last day in California, frantically packing our stuff and saying our goodbyes. The trip was over before we even had time to settle in! After a VERY long night in a VERY sketchy hoooker inn... I mean hotel... in Los Angeles we jumped on an early non stop flight to Kauai! Goodbye California and Hello Kauai!

Gonna miss these little pumpkins...

I had so much fun spending some time with these little guys! But also made me realize how much work a baby is! I think we are good on that for a while! For now we are just enjoying the auntie and uncle roles! I REALLY miss them though!
Nothing is cuter than hearing lil Mars say "juju"! Reminds me of when Mackenzie was that young and said the same thing! I am so blown away at how fast she is growing up!!!
If this is not a Sara face I don't know what is! Levi reminds so much of Jon but then there are moments like this when he is EXACTLY like his momma!
Another great thing that Jordan and I got to experience was holding Marley for her first firework show in Lake Arrowhead! Last year she was way to young to understand so this year we got to see the marvel! She kept saying, "wow...... boooom booooom..... whoa...... lights..... boooom......whoa....." CUTEST THING In THE WORLD!!!! Probably the best firework show we have ever seen!
Can't wait to come home and meet little Zoe (Ian and Richelle's daughter due in December) and Logan (Josh and Priscilla's handsome boy due in September)!!!!!

Masquerade

we attended a themed birthday party, it was my first masquerade! Very fun to see what people came up with. We went with the masks from the Dollar Store!
Some of the group! It was a wine and cheese kind of night! Such a great idea and so good to see Bear and Ramzi!!!! That was a pleasant surprise.
And yes ladies this is the Hula Surfer Dance by the one and only Justin Craw.... if you didn't know already it is THE MOVE!!! If you have never seen a guy do it just call Justin, but be careful cause he might steal your heart in the act!

In Awe....

I love my mother as the trees love water and sunshine - she helps me grow, prosper, and reach great heights. ~Terri Guillemets

One of my favorite moments on our trip back to California was the two days I got to spend with my mamma, martin and mack! I was bummed Marty had to work, but also grateful he was finally able to work again after five months of recovery!! I am blown away how forgiveness and love heal all things. My mom has been so patient with me and all the choices I have made. I am truly blessed to have a mom who never stops loving and pushing me! And I love how my heart has healed towards her and I am now able to accept the love she offers! The kids are such a blessing to my heart. My crazy Martin and his little entertainer personality. He is always trying to get a laugh out of you! And little Mackenzie Rose, she's kinda like a mini me... we have a lot of the same weird little corks! But she is such a cuddle bug still. We sat on the recliner and just watch TV together all snuggled in a blanket. What a sweet little soul! I miss them already! Thanks mom for being incredible and for working so hard!!! And thank you Marty for loving my mom and giving me such wonderful little siblings!!!!

IT IS DONE!!!

Cannot thank Scott enough for all his help on this sucka!!! It turned out so amazing! I felt so accomplished building something from the ground up! And thanks to Hayley for the wind chime! It's going to be the beginning of our collection!

ShEd: PART 2

"If you go to work on your goals, your goals will go to work on you.
If you go to work on your plan, your plan will go to work on you.
Whatever good things we build end up building us."- Rohn

From a shaky frame to firm walls and paint! It's been a whirlwind, a lot of work, but the most rewarding thing we have done! We feel so accomplished after building something with our hands! This is a dream come true and this shed answers all our problems in life. ITS ADVENTURE TIME! All we have to do is put the trim on, seal her up and load our stuff in it!
