This is. . . Destiny!

“You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!”
Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You'll Go!

So the adventure begins. . . Friday, October 12 we woke up full of excitement, anticipation, and a little frustration. We knew it was the departure date but the never ending lists of things to finish kept getting in the way. After we crossed one thing off, another two would appear. We kept moving and pushing. We were so anxious to leave. The time finally came and then for a minute we didn't want to leave. It seems almost idiotic to take off when you are so incredibly blessed right where you are. We are surrounded by the best of friends who love and support us and an even more incredible family that overflows with love and laughter. Why leave that? But we knew we must press on and that there is something great out there for us. Something is calling our souls into a land of the unknown and we must go.

We said our last goodbyes to the Cotes and tried to again thank them for EVERYTHING that they have done for us, especially in the past 10 months. And that's it, we were off. Driving down the driveway. A slight moment of panic and excitement punched us in the face. Not sure whether to cry or laugh we kind of just did a little of each. THIS IS REAL! We can talk all we want for nine months, but Friday October 12, 2012 this dream just became reality. HOLY COW!

We had errands to run in the Inland Empire and decided it would be best to stay the night in my dad's construction yard in Rialto. We found a cinder block made a little campfire and said cheers to the many adventures to come! The waves of reality and fantasy came back and forth.
Are we dreaming?
Is this our life now?
Are we sure this is what we want?
Are we strong enough for this adventure?
Are we brave enough?

Destiny just before we left

This is right when it all became real

God gave us a beautiful sky for the whole two hour drive we were on!

The whole horizon glowed bright orange

and then we were blinded by the sun!

Our first gourmet dinner :-)

My new best friend! Thanks dad!

Embracing life....

We made a pact almost four years ago now, the world is our playground, ready or not here we come! It is time to make it happen. We reminisced around the fire that night trying to recall all the steps that brought us here. So many miracles, blessings and hard things. Work, effort, dreams, faith. Everything was crucial to getting us to this point. Count your blessings and sleep sweeter than ever before! Life is what you make of it. . .
