Joshua- Day 3

10/14/2012

We had our first guest in our house on the road. And we are happy to say that yes even a man over 6 feet tall can sleep comfortably in our 21 foot home.  The morning was beautiful and perfect weather for a hike. So we set off to Ryan to visit one of our favorite spots in the park and also the place we got married. Everytime I go up to that rock I remember every reason why we chose that spot. It’s incredible how far you can see, and really no sign of civilization besides that old adobe house. We spent a while up there enjoying snacks and water before we ventured off to the cave. It was overall just a great and relaxing day. We bid farewell to Darren and we encouraged and prayed for each other’s journeys.

Jordan and I packed up and moved our campsite over to Ryan. I sat in the sun and read my kindle as Jordan went on a solo hike across the desert. It was the perfect evening. As sun set I started a fire and dinner, Jordan made it just in time.  The night air was brisk, the stars were shining bright without the moon to compete with, and we enjoyed our bottle of wine from Tyler and Chelsea, it was called “Happy Campers.” Perfectly fitting, for another perfect day in the wilderness!
