Happy 26th Birthday!!!

"Man after God's own heart. Willing to sacrifice to fulfill God's plan regardless of his own dreams. A man who can pick up a guitar and have all the light of the world shine through his eyes. And a voice that calls all into worship. A fun-loving personality that can make anyone feel loved. Who is also filled with curiosity and adventure. A man who refuses the word "no" and will fight to get what he believes in. Simply a man who will run upstream or stand when told to sit. Not letting the flow of this world slow him down. Proud, confident, and honorable. Yet at times stubborn. A man with weaknesses but unwilling to let them pull him down.  You, Jordan are a man who never ceases to amaze me."

I wrote that when I was 17 when Jordan and I were dating our senior year of high school. It is only a little excerpt of the letter, but reading it now makes me laugh. I can't say I didn't know what I was signing up for when we got married, I had him pegged since the beginning.

It's nine years later since I picked up that pen and wrote him this letter and I couldn't agree more with my last sentence there, "You, Jordan are a man who never ceases to amaze me." We have been best friends, boyfriend and girlfriend, nearly enemies, room mates, partners in crime, husband and wife, and gypsies together. And I couldn't be more happy. I admire you, cherish you, and respect you. And I am still hopelessly in love with you. You stole my heart 12 years ago and I hope you never give it back. Thank you for bringing me on this crazy adventure, for showing me how to slow down, and for teaching me how to be grateful every single day for even the small things.

I hope and pray this 26th year of life is all that you could want it to be. I pray that you see your Creator in new and crazy ways and that you fall more in love with him everyday as we witness his masterpieces firsthand. I also pray that we grow stronger and closer together than ever before and that we don't kill each other in our 21 foot home!
