The Temptress

10-17-12
We slept in as long as we could in the desert heat, had some breakfast and started to get things packed up after we dumped the tanks. But then Jordan talked me into a bike ride down to the river's edge. She's a temptress- crystal clear water, soothing current, gentle breeze, it was all such a relief from the sun. We dipped our feet in the water trying to convince ourselves to get back on the road. She wasn't helping. We probably could have stayed there a week or two and been perfectly content... but the road calls.

The drive from Parker to Phoenix went really well. We cruised on the 10 fwy to make up some time that we lost at the river. But from Phoenix to Tucson we started getting a little loopy. We need an inverter.... BAD.... the radio is not going to cut it for much longer.

Pichacho Peak

We have missed these Arizona skies

this is where we started getting a little loopy

we need to build up our tolerance of the road

six hours seems to be our limit

The fields were glowing.....

So happy to see mikey! And grateful for a house for a few days!
