Week Seven

Why Not Hebgen again!?

We got home from Hebgen on the 26th just in time for me to take a shower before heading into work. Town has been getting much busier since the 4th of July is only a week away. We both were scheduled Friday through Monday (Jordan with a few double shifts) but somehow we managed to get Tuesday and WEdnesday off together again!

Our supply of bulk food was getting low and we really needed to grab some other supplies from Bozeman but after a crazy work week we just decided to bail on our responsibilities and go play instead. It was this time last year we were mourning the loss of our dear friend Kenny and Aunt Suzie. Our hearts were heavy thinking of our loved ones and our bodies were tired from worked so we unhooked Destiny, ran to the local market, and headed back out to Hebgen lake. This time only Jordan and I were there the first night to spend some alone time together and then our friends joined us after that!

I love these nights. Out in nature and quiet.... no buzzing of electricity, no cars. We relaxed in the sun for a while, took a sunset stroll and made it back just in time to start a fire. It was a perfect day spent with some good conversations catching up with my love.

DAY ONE

The next day Jen came out to spend the day with us. Jordan was stoked because she brought her little raft. We tied a long piece of rope to it and pushed him out into the lake with his fishing pole. I think he was in heaven! It actually was incredible weather so we laid in the sun most of the day trying to soak it all in. They say that a big storm is coming this weekend.

After Luke got off work at 5pm he decided to drive out there and meet us for dinner. He got a little lost on the old dirt roads so Jen and I set out to find him! It took us a while but eventually we all made it back. Jordan has just caught us dinner too so we were stoked! Luke loves eating trout!

It was a delicious fish and plenty to feed us all. We had such a great night laughing a lot and enjoying each other's company. Jordan even broke out his guitar and harmonicas to serenade us over the fire. We all listened while we glanced upwards in search of shooting stars. Out here you see at least five of them a night.

We are headed back into town in the morning to get back to work!

DAY TWO

Jen planking... I hear it's the best way to get the sun haha

he's in heaven

we can't even count the amazing sunsets we have seen here

DAY THREE

On our way back to our parking spot we stoped by the mail to find a sweet package from Kellie! Along with our mail she sent us a huge bag of redvines (my weakness in life!) We also stopped by the car wash to vacuum out the sand and get Destiny all cleaned up for our next week of work!
