Somehow we managed to both have most of the day off together on one of our favorite holidays. Not really sure how we got this lucky but I'll take it because this town is amazing for the 4th! We discovered this last year as we enjoyed the local parade, the concerts in the park, the locals shooting off their own fireworks and of course the town firework show.
We did just about the same thing this year except we spent it with some of our good friends. Carlos joined us for the parade and we met up with some other for fireworks. Around sun set Jordan and I went back to Destiny for our annual 4th of July crock pot ribs. All the neighbors were lighting up our dinner with amazing fireworks as we ate. We tried to finish quickly, grab our jackets, chairs and some drinks so we could head over to Lauren and McKelle's. They had a few other people there too and hundreds of dollars in fireworks! We had to help shoot them all off! There were those huge giant ones like in the shows as well as little bottle rockets and sparklers. It was a blast and something we have been wanting to do for a while!
It finally got dark after 10pm and we all got seated for the town show. I had no idea that we were seated so close to the launch area and the first ones almost gave me a heart attack they were so loud.
West Yellowstone put on another great show and it was an incredible day. We'll for sure sleep with full bellies and happy hearts tonight! Happy Freedom Celebration America!!!
