~5/13/14~
It was one of those mornings where you could just tell it wasn't going to be a good day. We really wanted it to be good though. Today was departure day for Destiny Trip #4!!!!
It must have been the week of not sleeping while home or the hundreds of interactions we crammed into the seven days of being here but we were literally wiped out.. drained... donezo!!!!
I slowly but surely finished getting Destiny all road ready. Carefully going over every list I made, my brain wasn't exactly functioning so I was really hoping I was thorough in my notes, Jordan and I finally got the shed all packed and moved the final things into Destiny from the parents house and the other motor home. But no matter how many cups of coffee we had there was not a drop of pep in our step.
Yes part of it was sleep deprivation and just pure exhaustion but I think a lot of it was that we weren't ready to leave home yet. We've never experienced this type of lackluster departure before. We are usually so amped to get on the road that the adrenaline always outweighs the exhaustion. But 7 days with our huge families and amazing friends will just never be enough.
So we drug our feet as long as we could, said our goodbyes and hit the road with sleepy eyes and heavy hearts. We did get to stop at Amber and Bryan's to say goodbye to them and the kids before we drove to Rialto to drop off the Jetta.
By the time we got to Rialto it was already 3 or 4pm and we could barely keep our eyes open. So we decided to just stay there and take a nap, then we grabbed an In N Out Burger and spent the rest of the night there. Hahaha- not exactly a great first day back on the road but hey we made it 60 Miles!
