After being home for a little over nine weeks we are ready to hit the road again. We feel blessed and grateful to be home to visit with our families and friends and also to be able to help some friends through a hard spot in life. Some nights we have just sat and talked for hours about all the people we have in our life and blessed we are by each of them in different ways. Our hearts have been filled, our souls recharged.
Our third trip out in Destiny will be a little bit different than our previous two. Mainly because we are adding one to our little home. Jordan's best friend Justin has joined in the gypsy fun! We turned our shower into his closet and our couch into his bed. Sure 21 feet may be small for three but we are up for the challenge and excited to share our passion and love for the road with someone else! Now only if we could get a caravan going!Sometimes I think the goodbyes will get easier, but in a way it's always harder. Through this past year and the four deaths we have experienced, we have been clinging on to our friends and family that are still here with us. We have been trying to soak up every hug, listen a little more and truly enjoy all the company. So even though it is very exciting to get back at the adventures it's hard to say "see ya later." But we press on and hit the road in hopes of fulfilling our purpose and dreams. After saying our goodbyes in San Diego we headed up to Rialto with Jordan's little sister and her husband to work on our motorhomes at my dad's construction yard. It was a brutal couple of days. Amber and Bryan completely transformed their '66 Shasta by adding a new side panel and a beautiful vintage two tone paint job! She's a beaut now! It will be so fun for the summer beach trips! As for Destiny, we scraped 25 years of old silicone, sealant and caulk off of the roof, removed all the vents, got rid of the antenna, scrubbed the whole thing, added new sealant and waterproof tape, then painted three coats of a rubber roof on top!! It was crazy and a lot more work than I was imagining. Every part in my body is sore!!!! If this doesn't fix our pesky leak, who knows what will! I'm so grateful for my dad's help on the roof and other little side projects we got finished. He was still recovering from food poisoning and was still out there helping.

After three days of hard work we decided to start our trip out right, in Joshua Tree. Everything always feels right there. So we picked up our traveling buddy, Justin, on the way and camped out at Indian Cove campground. I'm pretty sure we got the last camp site available! It was beneath a huge boulder formation and we had an awesome moonlit fire! The weather was fairly warm and after a good dinner we enjoyed our red wine. Justin, Jordan and I celebrated the fact that God allowed all plans to come together to get us here together. We prayed over our journey and all the things to come. We set up times to do a group devotional and how we want to give every part if this journey to the ultimate Planner and master Creator. The boys took a moonlight mountain/boulder hike and then we rested..... Ready to start the adventure in the Morning!
