Cruisin' Hanalei

On one of Eric's first days off while we were here he decided to take us for a cruise down the Hanalei River. It is something that he has wanted to do for a while and we were happy to help him accomplish it! He said we were going to float in a "relaxation station." We were picturing a bunch of little tubs tied together with broken ropes and we would be falling out and stuff. Little did we know that there is actually a RELAXATION STATION... it was four huge chairs in a circle all connected with a net in the middle that you could hang your feet in. We also floated a cooler on the outside of the circle to carry drinks and snacks. Then the floating cooler in the middle that we put portable speakers in and used it as a table. We got a much later start than we expected.. I think it was almost 6pm when we got in the water. Without paddling some it would have probably taken us 5 hours.... we paddled some so it took 4 hours. It was so incredible to watch the sunset and then see the stars come out... the river is so dark that you could see EVERY SINGLE STAR. It reminded Jordan and I of Lake Arrowhead as kids... we even saw a few shooting stars. We ended the ride at Hanalei Bay, packed up the cars and headed home! I cannot wait to do that again!
